New Software Part of Moving from "Good to Great"

Wallick’s two-year, enterprise-wide implementation of the core Yardi Voyager software is complete at all 210 communities.

   

 

 

 

 

 


 

Communities' Website Updated

Wallick’s communities website — www.wallickcommunities.com — has undergone a face lift, with a new look to welcome prospective and current residents.

The improved navigation and graphics allow visitors to search Wallick’s portfolio by geography and community type — apartments, senior apartments, assisted living and student housing.  Search results easily lead visitors to the community of their choice, where they can find helpful information, including updated photos, floor plans, maps, pricing and specials. The implementation covered front office and back office operations, including tenant and HAP billing and receivables, compliance and financial systems. This also includes the PAYscan accounts payable module, where paper invoices are converted into electronic files that are then electronically routed for approval. The software enables more efficient processes, reducing the time that managers spend on office tasks.

“How well we do our jobs determines how happy our residents are in their homes,” said Vice President of Information Management Todd Bowers. “With the Voyager implementation, our on-site associates will have more time to focus on residents.”

Other Yardi Voyager modules that Wallick is implementing are CHECKscan, Energy Solutions and EFT payments. They will be in place throughout the company by the end of the year. With CHECKscan, rent payments are scanned and deposited electronically, eliminating trips to the bank for community managers.

Utility billing, energy management and analytics are all part of the Energy Solutions module. With this functionality, community managers will no longer have to process utility bills onsite and energy usage can be more effectively monitored.

An additional component that Wallick is piloting is Procure to Pay, currently in test at several communities. It is being integrated with Wallick’s current Evergreen Materials procurement processes, again saving time and dollars.

“The new software is a powerful tool for associates at every level of the company. It is enabling us to continue to enhance the level of service we provide our customers,” added Bowers.

In the coming months, Wallick staff will be looking to add more modules, including online maintenance requests, resident applications and resident payments.
